Established in 1997, Forest Dog Rescue are an independent registered charity based in the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, and we save the lives of over 200 stray and unwanted dogs each year that without us would face a very uncertain future. We believe that all dogs, no matter what their age should get a second chance of a new life.

Forest Dog Rescue is able to provide this invaluable service to the Wyre Forest community thanks to local volunteers and donations from the public and local businesses.

We do not have our own kennels at the moment and so we rely on commercial kennels. Lemhill Kennels (on the A4117 3mls East of Cleobury Mortimer), Hampton Hayes Farm at Worthen and Gothersley Farm at Stourton. If you see a dog on our site that interests you please contact 01299 266313 and Marie will tell you where that dog is kennelled, you can then MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to see that dog

As a registered charity we are governed by the Charity Commission, be aware that other rescues may not have charity status or may be registered as a company. You can be sure that 100% of the money you give us goes to helping the dogs

The average number of dogs we have in kennels is 40, we also support many more who are in the community with long term Foster Carers.

Please search your hearts and your pockets and help us make the difference

230 dogs re-homed in 2009

What a fantastic year for 230 dogs that came into our care in 2009. Through the efforts of our volunteers and our fundraisers our team found forever homes for these lucky dogs. Our neutering program ensures we don't add to the problem of unwanted dogs

Thank you for all of your support, make no mistake, you saved those lives
